How we verify every code
Most sites listing "verified" codes just mean someone typed a list once and never checked it again. Here's what "fair dinkum verified" actually means on this site.
Before a code goes on the site
- The offer is checked directly — in the app, on the company's own site, or through an actual signup — not copied from another coupon site.
- A real screenshot of the code or link applying is taken and shown on the page. If there's no screenshot, the page isn't published.
- The exact terms go on the page, including the parts that make the offer less exciting — minimum spends, exclusions, waiting periods. If a code has a catch, the catch is on the page.
The "last verified" date
Every page has a line stating the last date the code was actually re-checked, not the date the page was first written. That date only moves when a real re-check happens.
When a code stops working
It gets flagged or pulled — not left up. If you find one that's stopped working, that's useful information and this site wants to hear about it.
What "verified" doesn't mean
It doesn't mean guaranteed forever — companies change offers without notice. It means it was real, and checked, as of the date on the page.
Referral disclosure
Where using a code or link also earns the site a credit or payout, that's stated on the same page, next to the offer — not in a separate policy nobody reads.
Rotating codes (like Coles) work a bit differently
Referral codes are checked once and stay accurate until something changes. Rotating promo codes — Coles Online being the main one — change on their own schedule, roughly weekly, whether we've re-checked or not. For those, "verified" means something slightly different: we check the brand's own page for the current code, then cross-check that against real customer reports, because the two don't always agree — a brand's own page can list a code as valid for weeks after it's actually stopped applying. When they disagree, we go with what's actually working at checkout, not what's officially still listed. Dead codes get called out explicitly rather than quietly removed, so you're not left guessing why something that used to work doesn't anymore.
